More hours in the day required!

I am finding recently that I need more hours during the day. Anyone else having this problem? :) I have been busy, but managing to find a little time to make a few things. It's almost the thanksgiving long weekend and I'm hoping to get LOTS made. Here are some pics of the latest items...2 bracelets! One is very simple and modern, one funky and fun. I'm not writing much tonight since 1-pm is approching and I don't want to miss The Office. :) Cheers!

Pictures from Weekend projects

Good evening. I just wanted to share some photos of some of the items I made on the weekend. Here is my little AIM84BD Kiln, still at room temp, all ready to ramp up to 970F. I've had this baby for a couple years and its been a great tool, and perfect for beading and small fused pieces.  Below is a photo of all the beads I made on Saturday.
I have become a bit obsessed with this opalish blue green color by CIM. CIM stands for Creation Is Messy, they have a cleaver name, and some FANTASTIC glass colors. I am going to make a cha-cha bracelet with the beads, and lots of silver and Swarovski. :) I'm going to start on that this week and wi'll post photos once its started.
Isn't is pretty? I'm in LOVE with this color and must buy MORE! :)

Sadly I didn't do much creative tonight, I was a slave to the TV for a bit since a new episode of House was on. I love the show, but it seems so tame after only watching HBO for summer TV entertainment. I keep waiting for nudity and swearing...then I remember this is just FOX lol. HBO has warped my mind and I love it. :)

The flame!

Happy Sunday everyone! Don't you just love Sunday? I think it's my favorite day of the week. For me it's normally a day to finish up household chores, and relaxing. :) I was actually hoping to get out to make more beads today but so far it just hasn't happened yet. Too much relaxing going on I guess. I did make quite a few beads yesterday and had lots of fun. I kept it pretty simple since it had been a while since I've been at the torch but am happy with the results. Right now they are in the kiln cooling off after being annealed. Here are a copy pictures of the torch that I was using. I was at Rosa's (Rosa of artglassstudio.ca) house, she has a great set up and was kind enough to let me use it. This bad boy (the torch) is called Red Max (from Nortel). It's actually 2 torches. The smaller one on top, good for making beads and using soft glass). The bottom part makes a BIG HOT flame for doing sculptural and boro beads. I will post some beads pics as soon as the kiln cools off enough. :)
